Every year brings with it new trends; but any savvy fashion-forward person will know that trends are often just updated and re-imagined versions of classics.

Changing up your hair is just a fun way to bring in a little freshness and pep to your year. So we looked into our crystal ball (yep, we’ve got one) to see how you can update your look and stay ahead of the style crowd this year.

Blunt ends

Carrying forward from the classic bob, blunt, one-length hair will be popular this year. The centre-part is also here to stay. Seen here on Awkwafina (fresh off her win for her film, The Farewell). You can still hang on to length while rocking this subtle trend.

Modern pixie

Every year is an invitation to go bold, or go home. Will this be your year to go super short? This look is great for those with textured hair, natural waves or curls. Think tousled hair, bangs off your forehead; style it with some clay and you’re good to go. Great for highlighting those cheekbones of yours, or simply drawing more attention to your face and eyes.

Bangs aren’t going anywhere, though! Seen on BLACKPINK’s Lisa, her blunt bangs and one-length hair is giving us hair envy. You can add some texture with loose waves, and messy, undone hair. The length is perfect for those who are looking to transition from to shorter hair, without taking the plunge of going all the way pixie.

Of course, colour matters too, so we will be posting about cool new hues you can wear for the year. Look out for that in an upcoming post! Meanwhile, looking to change up your look but don’t know where to start? Make an appointment with us today – call us at 6295 2088 to book a slot now.
